“How I see myself and you” is a project by She Paints Her Sky, an Afrosian program for empowerment from within in partnership with Forrest Club, Danes Art Veranda, and Masbrooo. 

This workshop becomes the second activity following the previous painting exhibition by four Balinese female painters, which was held for a month at Krishnalila Foundation’s space on 22 December 2015 – 21 January 2016. Ayu Feny, the youngest exhibition’s participant, guided the workshop participants with her skill in naïve figurative painting. First, she demonstrated how to do self-portrait painting followed by showing the participants how to paint other people/partner they have chosen. Both activities are aimed at helping the participants to see themselves and other people (reflection). Moreover, this activity is also directed towards developing the art potentials and self-confidence of the participants, as well as providing an opportunity for women (mothers) to take time off from the daily routines to exercise their talent. It is expected that through this workshop participants will be able to bring themselves forward into creative economy, especially economic empowerment for the women.
